Memory of The Week: The Massacre of Connor Kelly

Last week, Connor and I arrived in Delaware, a wonderful place with the ocean, a boardwalk and a nice rented cottage. A few days into our little vacation/filming outing, Hurricane Bertha started to show it's effects. The waves were crashing over your head and sucking you in, spinning you around as if you were in a blender, finishing you off as they scraped you across the rock filled beach. Now I also felt the effects of big Bertha and my back was scratched up too, but mine was nothing compared to Connor K's.

One afternoon the waves were just out of control. One medium-sized wave pushed me far onto the shore. It pushed Connor forward to, but not as much as me. When I got up, I glanced over at Connor seeing that he hadn't gotten up yet. The next thing that I saw was a monsterous wave that was already twice the size of Connor. He got up, looking towards me. I yelled to him "Look behind you! Look!" and he looked. Frantically, he started to run onto shore, but it was too late.

The waves pulled him back, as he fell onto his bottom. The monster consumed him, spinning him around and finally spit him out. He got up, and his face told me that he was hurt. As he walked past me I could see that his back was scratched up. A few people on the beach asked him to show it, his reply was "No! No! I will not show it to you!". We went back to the cottage and got him all disinfected and took a bunch of pictures! This was surely a memorable event that we had in our week in Delaware!
